The goal of the English I curriculum is to advance the students’ analytical thinking skills, developing their ability to construct an argument, form connections with multiple texts and/or mediums, and to refine and advance their knowledge of the language in general. Above all, we aim to help introduce students to the rigor of high school and prepare them to be successful individuals throughout their high school careers and in their lives after high school.
